about // services

I provide freelance writing, editing, proofreading and design services for a range of clients in both print and digital environments, from non-profits to creative professionals and small businesses. My writing interests include: food & wine, health & beauty, music and community activism – especially those that deal with animal rights and human equality. You tell me what you want your projects to say, and I’ll deliver it in audience-appropriate language, in a way that will get you results!

Writing // Copywriting

If you don’t know where to begin with your writing project, you’ll find me competent in research and writing promotional copy. I’ve provided start-to-finish solutions for a variety of publications as well as for small businesses.

  • restaurant/food reviews
  • musician reviews
  • feature articles
  • company profiles
  • press releases
  • technical and procedural documents
  • web content

Copyediting // Proofreading

Before you send your promotional copy to print, I will make sure it’s consistent and that it conveys the proper meaning by correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, accent usage and factual errors as well as revising text for clarity, concision, and flow of content. Just need someone to review proofs of printed publications? I’ll check typography, formatting, and overall appearance of your layout and work with your designers to make any changes.

  • academic papers
  • magazines & other publications
  • newsletters & email campaigns
  • restaurant menus
  • case studies

Designing

If you’re not already working with a design professional, I can usually help you design marketing materials. If I don’t know how to do something, I’ll learn it or find someone who does. I collaborate with Ian Michael Gullett at IMG Multimedia for web design projects. Oh, and a post script – you always get a PDF as well as the native file in which I’ve designed your work so you’re not stuck down the road with a low-resolution web image that looks terrible in print!

  • business cards
  • simple logos/branding
  • newsletters/flyers
  • websites
